Surprising myself

For once it has been sunny and the soil is workable. Raised beds are all cleared, and mulched, ready for planting, and my chickens have had fun scratching up the pests. Seed trays are sprouting, and I’m hoping the good weather holds. The cane fruit and fruit bushes all had a mulch of compost layered over with straw, I am trying Fukuoka’s no dig natural methods.I even collected some rich woodland soil to innoculate my plant roots with beneficial funghi and bacteria. The comfrey leaves and young nettles are growing, soon they will be harvested to make fertiliser.. I have a good feeling in my bones about this year – bring on the sunshine and rain at night please!!!!
