I am going to adopt a wee vegetable, a heritage tomato, Jersey Sunrise.
Partly because I spent a very happy childhood in Jersey, and because I believe these rare varieties should be rescued and saved for posterity.
They have a long list waiting for adoption at the heritage seed library, Garden organic if anyone else is interested. They also want volunteers to grow and save seed for them, but at the moment I can’t commit to that.
