Early morning guardians

Good morning. Thanks for letting me know that GOY started in the UK – can’t think of a better place! In the 90’s I had a chance to visit a woman who lives in Cheadle Hulme. I’ve been writing to her since I was 9 years old. We went to the Lakes District, up to Edinburgh, and stopped in to see villages and areas along the way. So beautiful! Then took a train to London and on to a village where my sister’s penpal lives. Would love to get back to do a tour of the whole of UK and Ireland.
Walked through the path between Russian Olives this morning to go to our compost pile, and went straight through a busy spider’s web – right in my face. Had just finished watching a spider in it’s web that it had built in the blue spruce out back. I’d meant to get a photo in the early morning light, but got distracted with watering flowers. Maybe I can get one later.
This is such a wonderful place – I can hardly wait to do more exploring of the different members and their photos and blogs.
Hope you all have a super day!

Isn't it horrible when you walk into a web lol I hope it didn't startle you too much. They work so hard making them ...
Sorry to hear you didn't come to Wales. Try and come next time. It's only a small Country, ... but small is beautiful :o)

I like to see the webs early mornings with the dew on them but have a fit if I walk into one, if they are occupied then I go the other way...

Pleased to hear you have wonderful memories of your time spent in the UK abrayton. I live in Edinburgh - one of the places you mention in your list.
One of my pet hates is spiders webs in the face - I am a postwoman and every morning without fail, when I used to do deliveries, would be covered in spiders webs when I had finished my rounds!!
Looking forward to seeing your pictures :))
