Admiring Hellebores

My hellebores are still at their best at the moment and I would like to share my way of bringing them indoors and being able to admire their beauty, without having to stoop down low in the garden.
I float a number of the flower heads in a bowl of water, they keep for ages and means I can really take a close look, while at the same time providing a lovely centre-piece for the table.

You are so lucky. I bought a new hellebore plant and the flowers are really disappointing. These are very nice.

Hi Sarah, I have had the purple hellebores (sorry don`t know the variety....someone else might?) a couple of years, and now they are really starting to bulk up, so give yours a bit longer, I`m sure they`ll be fine. The lime green one is new so didn`t have as many flowers on.

That's a good idea - you can see the insides. I also do this with fuchsias and floating candles

I often stand a vase of them on a mirror tile. you then get the reflection as well as the outer petal colour. works well with snow drops too.
