My cats are spending much more of their time out in the garden and especially at night. Ginger Bob is back on sentry duty on the wall once again and Minnie is busy chasing leaves and spying on the students next door.
Photograph taken last summer – for those that need to know.

My cat has started staying out a lot again at the moment - I love to see her wandering round her "domain". At the moment she is stalking some rats that keep coming into our garden from one of our neighbours - she has the odd bit of success with them but OH has found the tunnel that the rats have built from next door's garden to ours so he will be putting some rat killer down that and then blocking it up I think.
No doubt Molly, my cat, will find something else to hunt, although she is very good with birds and kills very few of them - she will often sit a few yards away from the, just watching them feed. She is also not afraid of the pheasants we have come into our garden. What a lovely time of year.
