From the wet 'n' windy Southwest

What better way to spend a cold, grey and wet July afternoon (tic) than looking through bright and colourful pics of previous glories, especially when there is a definite purpose in mind. To that end, I’ve pulled up some Daylily pics, starting with the elusive ‘Laurah Pooh’.
Many of you may well have seen these before, but as I haven’t been able to take any pics of this year’s stunners, I hope you’ll still get some enjoyment from a repeat performance.
Although big and beautiful, ‘Bam’ is very slow to clump up and has only produced 2 scapes again this year.
One of my favourites, ‘Night Beacon’ may well come up for splitting this autumn.
A classic, this one. Old Tangiers is tall, sturdy and reliable, but again, slow to clump up.
Isn’t this gorgeous? If anyone can give me its name I’d be grateful. I’ve looked through Petit & Peat, the Daylily Encyclopedia but can’t find it. This could also be up for splitting this year.
Last (for now) but certainly not least, my all-time favourite ‘Frans Hals’. The first Daylily I ever had, colourful, reliable, tough as old boots and seems to flower for ever. Love it!
Hope you enjoyed my little indulgence.

So that's Laura Pooh - what a relief :o) Mine has some buds on it now, so after seeing that photo I'm looking forward to them opening soon.

Lovely! The various Hemerocallis you very kindly sent me are doing marvelously and are much admired by my neighbour. Guess who'll be getting some plants when I split them. ;o)

Thanks Simbad,
That name sounds very familiar and I think you could be right. One scape has flowered so far and there are two more in bud, so it will be nice to cast admiring glances and be able to give it an identity. Thanks again.

That Night Beacon is fabulous! They are all so beautiful. I only have one day lily so far, a plain light yellow one, and it has been fantastic all summer. Everyone seems to get hooked on these, and I can see why - would love to branch out and get another - but how to choose??

The lillies you sent me thrived, thanks again BB
