Fuchsia standards etc.

Hi all, I thought i would post a few pictures of some of my different shaped Fuchsia’s.I have one (hardy) half Standard which is at least 10 years old and comes back every year, i usually have to spray the head a few times (early spring) with tepid water to make the head break, i have had it so long i’ve lost the name label.

This year i thought i would see what a Pyramid shaped one would look like, i cant make my mind up so i think i will grow it on as a standard, what do you think ?. Its a “General Monk”

“General Monk” closer up.

Half grown standard “Paula Jane”

“Paula Jane” closer.

“Torville & Deane” half grown.

Close up “Torville & Deane”.

This is “Strawberry Daquiri” (not sure of spelling)

Here are a couple of flower pictures, this is “Blands New Stripe”

“Dollar Prinzessen”.

Very nice Bob. I think the pyramid is ok, but I think I prefer the standard or half standard. I did my Torville & Dean as a standard this year. Quite like it. Blands New Stripe is quite novel isnt it. Where do you put yours in the winter Bob.

Some gorgeous ones there Bob.

The one you've got as 'Dollar Prinzessen' I've got in my garden as 'Dollar Princess' and it's fully hardy. Is this the same one? (flowers very late summer to autumn - sometimes still has flowers on it in the snow!)

Hi Cinders, Thank you, i put some of mine in the Coldframe, some in the spare bedrooms and some just take their chance.
Sheilar, As far as Dollar Prinzessen is concerned your guess is as good as mine, i had one the same name as yours for years then lost it, last year i bought this one labeled as this so went with it, i have found this lots of times before over the years.
