Where are all the clouds?

Same here, we have not had proper rain since November! I do look forward to April showers before the summer months.

I can't remember the last time it rained, and its taking hours to water at night.. Rain during the night would be the best solution then sunbathing errr i mean gardening during the day...

We deperatly need some rain here in Germany, my water butts are nearly empty and in the lawn big cracks are appearing and also the river Rhine ( not far from here) is so low the barges can only be half loaded, also the farmers and strawberry growers are very worried about their crops.

We had a day of rain about a fortnight ago but that's the only time for ages. I only water the things that are wilting. Can't do the rest. They will have to manage.

same as hywel and its looking desperate,its been 1 day of proper rain since jan and thats not good,im thinking of 1976 again

Hopefully,we are expecting some rain here at the weekend..lets hope they got it right,and enough of it to do some good..not just a quick shower..

Hurrah. Here on the south coast, I've just woken up to real rain, quite light but persistent. What a relief!

I must be near you then, Thrift, we had a slight rain shower, nothing to shout about, but back to dry now (08.00). I'm west of Worthing.

Being on a water meter every drop I use.. I see pounds falling, lol, I only water new plants, the rest do well for themselves as the roots look for their own water supply from below:))))

Yes, we are desperate for water as well - haven't had any for weeks and week.

I asked for it and then came the rain !!!! I should have known better because whenever i visit a certain garden centre it always rains.. We had about half an hours worth of rain today and im sure if i go out to water my plants my neighbours will think i've finally lost the plot lol

Its been raining here since 4pm, i know we need it as everything like you say is bone dry, i just hope when we have had enough i hope it remembers to stop and dont rain for rest of summer.

I hope not too Clarice. A few days would be nice though on and off...I'm still debating whether to water my lawn because i seeded some of it only this morning..Also i bet the slugs will be out tonight having a good ole feast..

Thanks, i'd forgot about them, thats about the one good thing when its dry no snails & slugs around, i put some grass seed down about 6wks ago and i watered it every day, dont suppose it would do any harm to water it as it will take quite abit of rain to soak the ground.

It rained here for nearly 24 hours so I am so relieved. It seems to have gone off now but everything is looking fresh and bright.

We've just had thunder and lightening with 20 mins of rain. It didnt stop me from standing out there watering my pots from under a bush ..

yes i agree we had rain to about time as well as everything was drying up! more please !

We had more rain last evening through to this am. It is bright and sunny now but the garden has had a good soak.
