To produce this one I used off cuts of decking planking, not very large 22in x 14in and one plank deep about 5 1/2in just cut into lengths and screwed together.the idea was to have flowers for as many months as possible.
We start towards the end of August with Cyclamen Cilicium
They are kept company through September /October
By snowdrops(Galanthus Regina Olgae)
We have a lull then until Cyclamen coum takes over in December Through January, Joined in February By Fritillaria’s then Cochicum Hungaricum
Finally in a few weeks we will have in flower Narcissus Rupicola (these are last springs flowers)
There we have it Seven months flowers from one small box. From September to March it is under cover, today I moved into the open For the rain and sun to beat down on it.
Since setting this one up 4 years ago I have added a further 4 made the same (slightly smaller Easier to carry) they are OK but less established and have different plants and bulbs in them.
