Acacia Tree bonsai

I acquired a nursery store Acacia for cheap about 3 years ago and has never been healthy . The leaves had lost its colour a little and had white spots and most of the fowlauge was gone but I love the trunk , sprayed it with rose antifungal spray and kept my fingers crossed .
Last autumn I took drastic measures and removed all the the lower leaves and branches just leaving the tips which in itself was not doing great.
Just before spring started now , I gave a very light fertilizer mix and today I noticed new buds and where i injured it on the trunk is looking good.
Now I’m just waiting for more growth to see what is alive and then ill do the roots once everything looks healthy.

Thanks , I think so too , thinking about air rooting a branch of it so by the time it grown back , I'll have a new bonsai clipping too .
