In Spring ‘11, I was offered to work on a little part of my friend’s allotment in Herne Hill, London. This is some of the pictures I have taken in this big, marvellous place in South London.
I just love how people made this piece of land their home.
The dry toilet, to make more compost :)
Everything is reused and reclaimed to make plants grow
And the wildlife just loves it
People make the best of the land they have
In the horizon, London’s growling…
And this is the allotment I worked on, mine being the tiny strip in front of the green shed

Beautiful blog, I love to see allotments like this all being worked and looking amazing, lots going on in this allotment, loved it.
