Well this mourning when i got up there was alsorts been blown in the garden in fact there was plenty of rubish be blown all over the streets, its taken me alday to sort my garden out.The local radio station said winds where 73 miles an hour yesterday in blackpool, but at least no damage to my house, as for my tomatoes they got 2 choices if they live or not. but the weather as been kind today & let me tidy my garden up.

Yes, Mike, we should all do that and be grateful that our damage was nothing compared to theirs - what's a few broken plants compared with losing everything?

You are both right, plants, & everything in the garden can all be replaced. When you hear of something like that it puts your own problems in respect, & make us count are blessings.

Glad to hear that your garden did well Clarice. There seems to be a lot of wind everywhere lately. We had plenty of it today as three thunderstorms have come through. No damage in the gardens but there are green leaves from the trees everywhere. I count my blessings when I see what the typhoon did in the Philippines.
