I have been thinking about posting about my garden DIYs that help add garden whimsy to your beautiful flower gardens, veggie patches and wherever else!
Also, I included a picture of the model one so that you can see how it should turn out.
:)
Lets ger right in!
I was recently scrolling through pinterest in search of new ways to add beauty and character to my garden. The I came across this beautiful little DIY….and to make it, I only needed to raid my gardening shed for some old tools that most gardeners or non gardnders have.
You need:
-A watering can
-Wire
-jewels/Diamonds/glass beads (or any that resemble these things). Also, it helps if they are clear or a silvery colour to resemble water.
-Gardening glue (transparent).
-something to hold your watering can at an angle (this is up to you, you can nail it or glue it or hang it off of something).
How to make it:
Get your wire and pull it through the middle holes of the watering end of the watering can. You can secure it better with the gardening glue.
Next pull the jewels through the wire and stack them along the wire to make them look like water. To make it more secure you can apply gardening glue to the jewels before a
Placing it on the wire.
Please comment if I should could continue with these ♥
HAPPY GARDENING :)

Steragram, I hadn't heard of garden glue until I made this, I think it's just the same as other "external glues." I thought it would help wire stay in place so that it is resistant to harsh weather conditions. :)

That's so effective and would brighten up any garden. Kiddies metal watering cans are available quite cheaply and could be painted a better colour than they usually are, so this idea could be used in even the smallest space.

Honeysucklegold, thats very true! Infact, I actually painted my can a light blue colour as I thought it looked more bright. Also, the blue reflected onto the jewels which looked amazing under the sun.
I've been super bored lately so I thought that I would make a whole collection of different coloured ones so that I could change things up every few weeks. :)

Love your watering can....I threaded the beads on fishing line when I made mine love watching the move on the wind...

Sandra, I saw yours and wondered whether it had been inspired by this one.

Sandra, I will certainly check yours out :)

I bet the wire allows you to position the "water" more realistically Cleandude.

Sandra. Yes, it does. But, I guess your watering can was more 'abstract' which is actually wonderful as it would fit more with the "alice in wonderland theme" you seem to have going on in your garden. I was thinking of trying new ways to approach the "watering can decoration," in fact yours inspired me to recreate it in a more personal and unique way.
Thanks :)
