This was fascinating, especially the bit about the spectre!
We had lots of holidays in Devon years ago but didn't know about Cockington.

Gattina I looked every were for poor Flins grave stone but couldn't find it I will go and have another look, Poor thing :((

Steragram Cockington is just off the sea front mid way between Torquay and Paignton,a very pretty little village:)))

That was very interesting . I enjoyed reading it. I love local history. We don't know the half of what's been going on do we !

Hywel, No we don't , I would have loved to have lived in that era,(with money) not as a poauper,they had a very hard life i think:)
