I’m trying another blog…
Yesterday we went with friends to the vintage Airshow at Compton Abbas airfield, which is very close to us at the top of a hill overlooking the town and surrounding countryside.
I enjoyed it so much. The highlights were a Messerschmitt and Spitfire dog-fight reenactment, a spectacular wing-walking display (oh my word!, so brave, upside down high up in the sky on the front of a biplane!) and a wonderful display team of 9 Tiger Moths.
A few photos, but nothing is like actually being there!
Apologies, no pics of the dogfight, but believe me, it was incredible! Anyone else love an air show?

I really enjoyed reading your blog and the pics are amazing!
Yeah, my brother in law can jump in the car on his days off and drive for hours to see something he's keen on doing or watching etc. He's always on the 'go'.

Lovely pics, Karen! Looks fantastic! I'm pleased you enjoyed the day, great weather is a bonus. I do love an Airshow myself, especially with a variety of planes.
My brother in law and the girls drove down early hours yesterday from Ayrshire to the Blackpool Airshow. Long drive, but, they thoroughly enjoyed the day.
