My nests for wildlife insects.....

Hi! I’ve finally finished this lil’ project! I took the idea from the Wildlife BBC shows. There were some canes in the shed and I diligently measured 6 inch lengths and cut them. It hurt after just a few, hence it taking me a while, lol!!
Then I got some clay from ebay (where else!) and stuck some in each end, as instructed by another source (a book on wildlife gardening). Then I wrapped 3 together with nylon string and popped them in under the shed roof.
Now all I’ve got to do is wait and see if any lil’ visitors make it their home….
I did see some wasps in the apple tree, so with any luck, they’ll see their new homes nearby? It’ll be fun to see if it works anyway……
BTW, if anyone wants a bit of this clay, don’t buy any for goodness sake!!!! PM me and I’ll send you a bit, you don’t need much! It’s airdrying, so at least you won’t need to “cook” them, lol!!
Signing off…..

A good idea. I hope you have lots of visitors ( I mean the six-legged ones :o)

Thanks Hywel! Yes, not the 2 legged variety, there's not much else to see, lol!

Nice idea and should be more cost effective and satisfying than the pre made ones .
Hope you get some takers soon .

Thanks both of you! I hope so anyway! Lol! I'll have to try and catch some critters with my trusty camera. If not, it's made use of some old canes, titter!
