i was turfed out of my bed this afternoon and sent home, after threatening to do so for 4 days they finally managed it.

Now I need to conserve my energy and make sure that I do not try to do too much. We move next Monday. I will be sitting in a chair directing operations.

The family are pulling together, various people doing different things. I have to admit I cannot wait not to have to climb the stairs. My breathing has improved but not as much as I had hoped, still there is time for it to improve. I cannot expect to knock the world over after having such a major procedure. I am just happy to be home.

Glad you have escaped Csarina now although I'm my own worst enemy I am still allowed to advise you, so you be careful and just sit and watch, once moved you can settle in slowly and sort out gradually a bit at a time as you recover your strength, hoping now you are on the way upwards.....

My brother is still resting, a year after a major heart operation. He found that singing helps his breathing.
Started gently, found it worked then sings every day now.
Has just started some gentle cycle rides.

Great news that you are home, better that than fretting about not being there! These things all take time, lots of it, and though we all think we can do more than we really can - we have to go with the flow and take it easy.
Just have fun ordering everyone else about, it might be the only time you get to do it - they probably won't be so amenable another time!

I'm glad to hear you are home. Take the advice given by the others above. Your body will tell you when it is ready to do more. Enjoy not having to sit all day. Do not worry that the results are not exactly as you hoped they would be. It is early days and if anything worries you ask your doctor or nurse about it. They might have helpful suggestions you can try. Good luck with the removal.
