We spent half an hour in the garden this morning dead heading and week killing. We were sat eating our lunch when it started to snow!! Did not last long, but long enough to soak the two lines of laundry I have out. Hey ho, they can just stay out till they are dry.

I am going to move the pot that had the tulips in by the front door and replace it with a Hosta which is in a big pot. I smear the edge of the pots with vaseline to stop the slugs feasting on the leaves. There is another big pot with a different Hosta in but its not showing much signs of growth as yet.

The photos of the Crown Imperial I could not publish yesterday

I am now looking for the orange one, might have to get it from the internet, I have not seen it offered anywhere else.

Tomorrow will be grass cutting day provided it does not hiss it down over night. We will also have to rig up the hose to the tap the garden appears to be very dry.

OH bowling this afternoon, I have an appointment with some hand quilting on a quilt I made too many years ago to remember. Wish I had decided to machine quilt it now.

It was a good morning here Csarina, I have potted my cucumbers on again and pricked out some seedlings, put my sweetpeas into the garden as they are not progressing at all in the g'house, I figure they have two chances, had to retreat indoors at 1.30pm as it quite literally turned very dark in a matter of minutes,so glad I didn't have washing out, now we have rain, snow and hailstones and need the lights on indoors...I'm on the Lincs/ Rutland border, daughter is in Corby sat in her car waiting for it to stop so as she can do her shopping, so pleased I didn't go with her, lol....

Beautiful Csarina. We had funny weather here today too and my washing was in and out like a yoyo. In a five minute period this afternoon we had hail, thunder and then torrential rain so you're not on your own. Now, 6.45pm bright sunshine.

Nice weather all day here but a cold wind. Hope you find your orange Crown Imperial.
