Thankyou! I was going to leave it, yesterday afternoon I turned it over and added lots of new compost.. Today I bought all the plants and gravel, then my bestfriend said he wanted to visit for my birthday tomorrow. So I ended up planting it up!

Well done that lad, you are as bad as the rest of us, so impatient, it looks good Dan, underplanted with a few spring bulbs is a good idea for next year, they always look so nice planted around a tree, I have a question,are mum and dad into gardening and when you go to uni are you leaving instructions on how to care for your garden,lol, you have worked so hard...

Mum is more into gardening than I am and she always has been! Dad just likes to mow the lawn and he has an allotment for his fruit and veg! They should be fine in September with the gardenwhen I've moved out (the man next door is going to keep an eye on the pond for me)

Ah I see, I always wondered but you never had said, thats good your mum will take good care of it all then, probably won't even need the neighbour, except to check out the pump and filters, if you've shown mum how to clean them she possibly won't even need anyone for that either, mums are very resilient and soon learn these jobs when the sons have to go away, its a dirty job as you know but the feeling of satisfaction when its done is grand....

It'll be possibly be dad that does the pump and filters but we shall see!! Currently on a break from planting more plants!!

Thankyou! my birthday was last Monday but my bestfriend works in the city centre so he came this weekend because he couldn't get the actual day off!! crazy considering we live three minutes away :)
