New project?

This end of the pond is always still. So I’ve got a simple pile just circulating the water over to the front deep end to the pump where it is taken out of the pond and into the filter. My question is do I use the stones and make them into a waterfall or stream so its more than just a pipe spraying water in? What’s peoples opinions?

Or perhaps a little something simple that water can overflow from? There are lots of tatty little cheapies but some are really nice. Perhaps a shell or something?

That's a good idea steragram! Like an urn or something?!

Looking at where you mean Dan I agree with Stera, an urn or pot of some kind would work well and also look good, you could use some of the stones to build it up a bit so the water would cause more of a splash as it hits the pond, I've seen plenty done like that and they are very effective....

Cheers Linclass! I'm thinking you're both right. As that's the immediate place you see through the back door! Plus there's the light there too so it can be illuminated.

I like every idea that has been given to you on here and feel sure that whatever you choose to do it will look just great. The sound of moving water is so soothing and relaxing.
Do let us see what you decide to do.

Hi wilrose, I will keep you all updated. I've already got a little waterfall so I think an urn or something is they way to go!

Having the light will create a lovely effect Dan, you'll be popping out every few minutes as it gets darker to admire it.....

I'm hoping so too! I can see them under the water in the evening with the light. But if I can, must mean Mr heron might too

Good you’ve managed to post now! I think a little waterfall would look nice, like the overhanging acer and the hostas around the pond edging very effective too.
