Stone ornaments....

Well this is my next project if all goes well.I got some latex molds frm ebay, and then went to BnQ to get some cement….OMG you should have seen the state I got in.After trawling through the store,I found what I thought I was looking for……boy was the bag heavy, and would it go in the little basket on wheels….no way, after 3 attempts in it goes, and then I see the powder all down my trousers, but obviously couldnt rub it off,as it dont rub away very well.Anyway I go to pay….cursing my o/h who decides to sit in the car, then wheels it out.The next day I get the mold ready,a little turtle comming out of his egg shell (start small first),then opens the bag of concrete….yes concrete which I now know was the wrong stuff to get because of the lumps of stone in it…..so that was that,I cleared up,and will get the proper stuff real soon, then hopefully I can do it properly, paint it and show it….fingers and all else x’d……….

At B&Q I always go to the info desk and ask for somebody to lift and load for me.....and I haven't had even 1 hip replacement yet!

Lol Wagger, you havent seen the lot at my B&Q,I asked could I take the little trolley out to the car,as no-way could I lift it again, and all he said was "we dont let it beyond the doors"....OMG then how do you expect me to carry it when I am using a crutch in one hand I say.....Oh ok then,he say's,but bring it right back......I ask you.

Well, I would get straight on to Head Office - b****y cheek! I'm spitting cobs just reading that! They bang on about their 'customer service' so make a fuss, Dee. They have a form you can complete online to complain about your store.

Yes actually you are right Wagger,I think I will, prob wont get me anywhere, but it needs to be said.It makes me laugh as you say,the telly ads always look like they are "caring " for their customers, not only B&Q but others too,and I also believe the motto the customer is always right has died a death, well when I used to be on checkout, you had to treat customers with respect,Ha,no longer....your told where to go nowadays, aww whats happened to the good ol days of customer care :-(

My local B&Q is not brimming over with smiling, helpful staff but they'll always find someone to help you collect and load heavy items. I'm sure their policy must be the same in all stores.
