I saved a Bee today

Well that was a big thing for me I must say !
I went out in the garden as you do,and saw this bee, hanging on for all it’s worth to a tiny bit of pond weed, but under the water,so out comes the net, where I scooped him up,and put him on the rock.I thought he had had it,but he slowly regained himself, and has now gone….so thats my good deed for the day ………

Aww you are kind. i had a shock yesterday,i was in the greenhouse and noticed cut up leaves on top of a fuchsia pot. they were fresh and i couldn't imagine how they got there, so i poked about in the compost and a wasp shot out and frightened the life out of me, i'm sure it was about to make a nest, needless to say i wasn't as kind as you,i soon sent it packing.LOL

Wasp nests are a marvel to behold,Tulsa, but not the wasps eh??

I'v'e seen them before ,but outside, not something a want to put my hand in when repotting. ouch.

No way, I agree, they are vicious little b's.

Oh bless - I always try and rescue bumble bees too they are so important to our gardens.

I do hope this poor Bee survives his ordeal?...I am just hoping, that he does
not meet a Predator, as the poor Bee looks so vulnerable now, which makes
it an easy target...we do try our best for all our Wildlife, but then Nature
takes over, doing what comes naturally!!!

You've saved a life, well done you. That is so satisfying. That bee owes us one now, he musn't sting anyone!

Wello done, bees are so scarce they need all the help they can get and so important to our gardens (I don't think I'd rescue a wasp though!). This was one lucky chap!

Yes, well done!

Good work you. I'd do the same but agree with Cazkiss that if it was a wasp it wouldn't get the same treatment. If it was a wasp then i'd be pushing it under the water with the net rather than scooping it out. As you can tell my love for wasps is immence!! NOT. lol

Poor mite. He looks bedraggled lol. I'm glad you saved his life. I suppose he's very grateful in his own way :o) Good for you !
