Start saving now !

Every possible water butt or large container that can be filled with water just now will be invaluable, if we get another drought similar to last summer. It didnt rain here in Northamptonshire from March 1st to June 24th.
Rainwater is much better for plants than the chemically purified mains water supply.
Well wrapped up to keep warm I did 2 hours at it yesterday. Have 4 wheelie bins and 4 water butts stationed at intervals, so transfer water from the one that soon fills, to the others.
We are lucky, our local Council give wheelie bins away that have the tops broken on the collection lorry. They hold 40 gallons. I dug huge holes and ‘planted’ mine.
People were stealing them. Full of water, they couldnt push mine over to empty them.
Worth asking about at your local Council Customer Services desk.
