Found ‘Seasonal Container Gardening’ by Kathy Brown
ISBN 0-7181-3249-1 which can be borrowed from any Library.
It has taught me to make better use of my larger pots by transferring smaller plants I already have to around the rims, adding Ivies or other trailers, + sowing summer seeds to bulk out the foliage. The end result makes growing flower arrangements in colours to enhance the central plant.

Kathy also describes in detail the correct way to plant up a hanging basket, or half- baskets, and the plants to use.
She does write these plants build up good root systems so need feeding every week after they have used up the original fertilisers in the compost in the first 6 weeks.

I am so pleased I found this book. Recommend for new members of GoY. We all benefit from other people’s ideas, which improve our gardens and our lives.
