Too right Donnah, its a great feature, it brought to mind happy memories. When I was a child one of the things I and my brothers were delighted to do on a visit to Nanna`s house was to walk to the water pump along the road and help carry the buckets of water back, to us it was the highlight of our visit, somehow I cannot see my grandchildren liking the same thing,lol....

I wish this was a working pump Linclass I was living in N Ireland and I had a a pump in the front garden which was in working order with a stream running underneath which the pump would draw from

i love that pump, i imagine it would be frozen up today but if you light the chimenea up that could solve the problem ~ you seem to have something for cool days and for hot ~ good choice!!

Both items are lovely Donnah, I have a pump exactly like yours used as a feature amongst the plants on my patio. Love the pics of the garden with just a sprinkle of snow, just hope it doesn`t get any deeper.

I don't blame you about the pump. I'd keep it aswell ! Make sure your husband keeps away from it lol
