Wow...that`s an impressive list Donnah...I have fed the birds three times today...given them cheese to provide some fat...unfortunately the big birds always get there before the smaller ones...the magpies.crows and even seagulls were all in on the act. The goldfinches were eating trhe niger seed, the cold weather usually brings out some of the less common species to the garden...we have seen a jay and a woodpecker ...otherwise the usual visitors include sparrows, tits (mostly blue), robins, blackbirds, dunnocks, starlings, collard dove, wood pigeon and wrens.

Hi Stickioffee When I was driving home from work the other night a tawney owl was flying in front of my car It was flying at the same level as the car just in front of me. I slowed down to watch it and it stayed in that posision for a least a couple of minutes it was mind blowing to watch it. Money can never put a price on it

Wow Andrea dont think we have Dunnocks unless I have not reconised them. My other half always moans about the wood pidgeons eating all the food but How I see it is they are all birds and they need feeding We have had a Jay in the garden the last few days Not my most favorite bird as they raid nests but they still all need food
