I was in my greenhouse today when an elderly gentelmen walked down my path towards the greenhouse. My partner said Their is someone to see you Donna.I thought great someone else to stop me from my work. But being polite I said Hello and went on to show him my garden. And I am so very proud of it.And with that he came out with so much gardening no how I was gob smacked. He looked at my lawn and pulled it to bits. He looked at my flower beds and advised on things. He then said would you like to see my gardenAnd I went to see his garden (Thinking to myself It can not be as nice as mine) Well I was in for a large shock. I did ask him if I could take photos and he said he happy for me to do so. I did swap for a tray of pansys. Anyway GOY members This is why I call this Blog Gob Smacked
This was his front flower beds
only took photos of one bed Perhaps he will let me take more photos of the rest o th
e garden if I give him some more Pansys? The place should really be open to to public. In saying that If I had alawn which looked like his I would say NO WAY go and walk on your own lawn.Any way GOY members be aware that little old gentlemen Gardeners are full of surprises
I Have learnt my lesson .Never judge a book by its cover

LOL, BB.
His front bed looks lovely Donna but you also have a lovely garden. Way better than mine. Mine's a disaster. Besides, look how many years he has had to work on perfecting his technique!!

You sure hes a Norfolk man Donnah ? Sounds like just the sort of thing an old Yorkshire gardener would do !
That said suppose any old gardener likely to offer advice whether asked for or not .
