I have Flowers in my garden

High winds & rain have kept me out of my garden over the past week, plus I have now returned to work. But on Friday 4th Nov I braved the strong wind whirling about me, to take some pics of the flowers now coming out in my new side fenceline garden, which was only dug out & planted up within the past seven weeks. It is so wonderful to see the hard work of my OH David rewarding us so quickly.

Your garden is coming back to life, just as most of ours is off too sleep. We will all be looking forward to seeing your lovely plants grow over the next few months and give us plenty of colour during the winter months :)
Glad to see you are back at work. It's great to get things back to normal!!

Lots of sunny colours there, Dwyllis, especially like the Aquilegia . . . . .

My you have been busy. Your new roses look spectacular. This is just the beginning too! How lucky you are, those borders are going to look really good in the next couple of months. Keep posting pictures and give your poor, cold UK friends a thought over the next few weeks. Brrrrrrr!

Thankyou for the lovely comments everyone. It is exciting to see flowers now, instead of a bit of greenery with lots of bare earth. I can't wait for all the plants to fill out a bit more. There are a number of roses planted along that border, & most of them are covered in buds, with the Mary Rose & the unknown rose which I discovered amongst tall weeds, being the first to bloom. I am so happy to find that the unknown rose is that beautiful dark red colour, as it fits in so well with the rest of the planting & look lovely with some green ivy behind it. I'm sure I am going to do a little dance on the grass when the other roses begin to bloom .... roses are my favourite flower, & I intend to have lots of them everywhere. I also love aquilegia & plan to put in as many varieties as I can get my hands on.
