It's a Mystery!

Like everyone else we have all our re-cycling bins etc sorted. Just outside the kitchen door I placed our small “food bin” and all was well for many months.
Then suddenly we began to find the (emptied) bin halfway across the back lawn. We knew it wouldn’t be Jasper as he’s old, and well-fed, and very sleepy these days.
We locked the bin handle thinking this would put off the predator. Instead the bin disappeared completely! We have searched everywhere but just over the hedge we have miles of heathland and it could be anywhere.
We suspected a fox until our neighbour told us that a badger has actually tried to get into her kitchen through the cat flap!
This reminded me of Jasper’s very odd behaviour one day when he started side-winding all round the kitchen. I wondered then if another cat had entered through his cat flap.
Has anyone here had any experience of a badger breaking, and entering, or making off with stolen goods?

I watched a program last week where a bear wheeled a restaurant s large bin out of the secured area quite a way from the resaurant tipped it over to eat thd left overs as they like to eat in peace so a badger would not surprise me one bit.

Must count our blessings - all ours does is make a path over the bank and across the veg patch...

I don't mind feeding him but wish he'd return my food box!

This could make a great story for Rupert & Badger, I wonder what sentence he would get for taking with out owners consent. Lol :o))

Whilst clearing some of our shrubs we found our stolen food bin. Alas, no fingerprints!

It wouldn't surprise me if it was a Badger, I had a friend who's shed door was chewed away so the badger could get at chicken feed kept inside.
