Greetings Again, and Farewell.

I have not been an active member of this group for some time. My husband died in July and after some thought I have swapped homes with our Younger Son and moved in to the market town. My new home is very tiny but cosy and convenient.
My old home (for 57 years) was too big and the garden also. Now I have a rectangle of artificial grass (!!), and some Acers! There is also a bed of tangled shrubs and plants. The former (Camellias) are easy to see and will be left: the bed will be turned over, hopefully, this week by my gardeners who should really be at my other place!! There are lots of leaves also to be seen to.
As I have said before, I am not really a gardener . My husband was very keen and created a beautiful garden from a field. I feel, therefore, that I should, reluctantly, say a “fond farewell” to you All. I have enjoyed my stay here.
Regards
Eirlys

Bless your heart Mary, you don't have to leave, I know we're in touch in other ways so I will still be able to keep in touch but Goy has been a part of your life for so many years, irrespective of who is actually doing the gardening, you have many friends on here whom I am sure would love to still hear from you, xx..

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your bereavement Eirlys.
I can't see any reason for you to leave Grows on You, but if that's what you want to do I will wish you well for the future.

I agree with the above. I am sorry for your loss and the upheaval of moving home but I hope you will be happy in the future.
Rather than leave the site why not just not post. in the future you may want to dip back in and it would be so much easier.
lots of love

So sorry to hear of your loss.

Maybe a complete change of surroundings, interests, routines, will be good for you, but one thing seems sure about the people here on GOY - if you change your mind - they'll certainly welcome you back!

Take good care, all best wishes.

Thank you, Both. Have. a lot to be grateful for. Gardeners are coming tomorrow to clear leaves and a small area of rampant low plants. A case of tidying up at the moment.

May I echo all that has been said, 2019 has certainly been a tough year for you, Eirlys but I hope your home exchange will work well for you and that you will still drop by to share our ups and downs and to bring us news of how things progress for you. Life events meant I dropped off the GOY scene for a while too but it is a special and welcoming place to return to, and the door is always open.
