Our Hippeastrum

Well we’ve managed to nurse our bulbs through the Winter and they have been in full bloom as a reward. The white one I photographed and displayed here last year. This time I think the flowers are larger and quite prolific.
Same can be said for the other plant. Its colour is somewhat subdued in my opinion. I like the brilliant, spectacular reds.
Other half informed me that the common name “Amaryllis” is incorrect for these plants and told use the correct name “Hippeastrum species or cultivars”, so there!
The Camellias in our garden. a lovely selection of colours, I think.
