Marwood Hill Gardens

Do you know Marwood Hill Gardens in Devon? We didn’t, but we have just spent a week at an apartment attached to the house and with the most amazing views.
The rather wishy-washy ones were taken from the
sitting-room window and it was a joy to eat with such an amazing vista before us. The Magnolia tree was in full bloom and we were able to enjoy it for the entire week when the petals then began to fall.
The garden was created by a Dr Smart. It was originally pasture land with a stream. His nephew has inherited the gardens and people are able to visit to view and/or to indulge in the little tea-room attached to the house. There is also a smallish plant sale area.
There are better images on their website but I hope you enjoy the following as much as we did the real McCoy!
