Badgers are our neighbours :)

Hope they can't get at the chickens :~((.

no, the chickens are safely shut away :) we've heard conflicting views on whether badgers are dangerous to chickens or not. I think its when their regular food is scare its more of a worry... We have a good compost heap which we have plenty of worms in, so if the weather gets too dry and their worm supply dries up, we can at least keep the badgers topped up with them so they keep away from the chooks.... Luckily we've had no trouble so far, hopefully it'll stay that way! At least we're aware, so can keep our eye out for trouble....

I could tell you a long and sad story about badgers in my garden Emma, but let me just warn you that they tore the side of the farm duck-house (next door) to get to the ducklings - so beware, I'm sure they would go for chickens as well. :-((

Oh thanks for letting me know Henry.... thats not good at all.... I hope these badgers stay away and leave our girls alone..... :(

I'll tell you now, as you're a new GOY-er... my dog's called Henry! Most people call me 'Spritz' because Henry's a Lab as you can see, and he's very clever. LOL.
