Here are a couple of pictures of the site as it was on the 27th Dec. I hope it’ll be changing soon. Today it was minus 3 so I really couldn’t dig it.
Thank you so much for all your encouragement everyone, it’s made a big difference already. I’ll answer emails properly soon, I promise.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL GARDENERS OUT THERE!

Check out my front garden project on my blogs! I am very happy with it now, it is new but doing well, more photos in the Spring and Summer, good luck with your project. Try and get as much of the ground work done as you can now, then when the ground becomes more workable you can start planting, look forward to the photos!

Deep, deep frost today - a pity I didn't dig it over before. However, more time for the planning. Lots of you have said roses will do well - any favourites? and what goes well with them?
Must get cooking now - hungry teenager and friends arriving!
Enjoy the new year everyone. Spring can't be far off now!

Happy New Year FWG, good luck with your project.
Don't know enough about varieties to advise but do know that if you inter-plant them with marigolds they help deter greenfly. Same goes for tomatoes. Something to do with the smell of the marigolds....
