Progress on Front garden
11 comments
Well, I guess everyone was set back a bit by the snow in February – our corner of the Cotswolds had quite a lot for quite a while. Then I got cracking and really made some progress on the project. The beds were clear and dug just in time for when the plants I had sent for arrived. Now I’m planting up – probably not putting things in the right places, as I’ve got very confused about what I’ve got. There was an offer for 100 summer bulbs, which I snapped up, but now I really don’t know what they will look like – no pictures! So the results will be interesting …. I did say I wanted a riot of colour, looks like chaos rules. Makes life more fun. I’ll post pics as we go – see what happens.
Below are some pics – the task force helping with Ivy bashing – the plot as it is now ( proud glow!) – and as it was three months ago.- 29 Mar, 2009

How interesting it will be when the non-labelled corms and bulbs flower! No colour schemes in YOUR garden this year! What fun waiting and wondering!
Maybe planting in pots is called for in case you don't like clashing colours?

Well you've certainly been working hard and it's looking great as a result - that middle photo shows just how interesting you can make a small space.
