Time Child

Lovely poem :o)

A lovely verse and so true, time does blow away so quickly.

That's lovely, Feverfew.

Lovely words, reminds me of when I was a child....blowing on the dandelion clock must be an age old pastime handed
down through the times!

Dandelion, Dandelion with root so stout,
If I cant catch it early, bloomin' hard to pull out,
The only thing its useful for is making wine,
The space it takes up will suit me fine - for another plant.

I have hundreds of them, hard to pull out of dry and stony ground (hard out of any ground!) I like it when they go to seed at the back end of the lawn and the goldfinches eat the seeds!

Chuckling away here Diane, I've got to crawl around on my lawn with my trusty tool as I have gained a lot of the beggars this year, another joy of feeding he birds I'm afraid.....

Love your verse Dianeb.I'm afraid I spray the 1 or 2 that I get with weed killer as soon as I spot them, so they never get anywhere near the "clock" stage. When I was about 5yrs old I was blowing them on a grassy area in front of the houses & a lady soon came out & told me to stop as they were going in her gdn. Kids always have to go play in the next street, don't they.

That was good, Diane. Pulled loads out this afternoon but if the seedheads attract goldfinches I may leave a few from now on.
