The Ashes, Cricket Test series is on. Cardiff is the chosen venue for the first round; And, so far so good for England. That it is possible for play to go on until almost 7pm is an indication of the fair weather.
At Wimbledon they play on until after 9pm… Summer is truly here.
So here is a glimpse of summer in the garden…

There are few requirements of a rose. Their very presence lifts the heart. This soon-to-be blousey, explosion of purity looks perfect with the backlight of the evening rays.
