The 'Adam McLean' Plant Support

Remember the square of clay-ey soil I was going to make a pond in? Well, change of plan … today I dug the space over, putting in 2 bags of potting compost, half a bag of sand, and half a box of bonemeal.
The soil was all stuck together because it’s been years under slabs, but now I think it looks great.
I’ve planted … a tiny silver birch, a jasmine, a clematis, and various other things.
I wanted to point out in particular my partner’s Brilliant Idea – the ‘Adam McLean Plant Support’ system. You gather fallen branches, lash them to your fence etc, and train clematis up them.
Much nicer than trellises, and gives the birds something to sit on.

Wow. You've done well with this FP. Well done. I like your partners plant support idea. I'll have to try that myself. :o)

It certainly looks better and your plants should romp away., your partners idea is a good one that will look more natural especially when things start to fill out......
