Genus: Hosta.
Species: Hosta fortunei.
I planted several of these type of Hosta beneath my pine tree in the front yard. It seems to be a good location because the tree mulches them with pine needles and because of the contrast of green again the brown. I was pleased, though surprised, that it flowered during the first year of growth. I also have three of these along the back foundation border where they are growing equally well.
