Genus: Juglans.
Species: Juglans regia.
There were 2 mature walnut trees when we moved in. One in the middle of our lawn in wonderful for shade in the hot Hungarian summers. Our local woodpecker sticks the nuts in a crevice in a damaged tree trunk and neatly cracks them in half.
