Astilbe
Genus: Astilbe.
Species: Astilbe granat.
Planted in side garden near small tamarisk. March 2008.
This one did not flower in first year. I think it needs moving to moister shadier spot.
On August 3rd 2008 I bought a plant from Baumax with a budding flower on it. To plant later in most moist part of garden, either under Buddleia or in bed with roses and Philadelphus etc.
Planted under Black night and also moved first plant to same area.
May 2009, buds appearing. They like this spot.
