Koelreuteria paniculata 'Rose Lantern'
Genus: Koelreuteria.
Species: Koelreuteria paniculata.
The species flowers in June while Rose Lantern doesn't flower until August. The seed capsules that follow look like chinese lanterns and the capsules on this variety are a deep pink. They make a nice contrast to the gold flowers and the yellow fall color. This tree also has a nice shape and a lot of character.
