Spicebush
Species: Lindera benzoin.
HOST plant for Spicebush Swallowtail and also Promethea moth and other moths. There is a large grove of spicebush right next to our house and also many in the back woods. Not really a bush, but rather a small tree. Very nice aroma to crushed leaves and bark. Female spicebush get red berries during summer.
