Illinois Bundleflower, Prairie Mimosa, Spider Bean
Species: Desmanthus illinoensis.
Bought 8-19-02 from Companion Plants for ??. Zone 5-9. **Very difficult to transplant. I moved the origional mature plant in 2006 and it died. Luckily there are at least 4-5 seedlings in the beginning bed that are still alive. I will just let them there this time. I'll try to start seedlings in pots next year.
Very high in protein and therefore excellent for wildlife.
