Well, i should say, atlghough it might sound weird to some of you... that plants respond to your emotions... and the way you care for them...
i guess my wisteria is acting up because im being demanding asking for flowers ... :P

Those are lovely. African violet is the common name and I believe the botanical name is STAINTPAULIA ionantha.

Nice picture of African Violets! Mine have never been outside!
I've been growing them for many years now! Most of the time they grew in the small window in our kitchen, above the sink. They were "abandoned" most of the time but did very well all the same.
This year it occurred to my wife that she wanted some flowers on her bedroom windowsill. She likes to see flowers but has no interest in growing them. So I put the African Violets on the windowsill.
In the kitchen they produce very, very few flowers during the winter. They are plants that normally need many hours of light to flower. They used to be kept in cases with artificial light & heating years ago. Now that they are on the bedroom windowsill with a radiator underneath they are flowering even better than in the summer! I put a few photos on my page here a few weeks ago which were taken at the end of November - now almost at Christmas they are still flowering their heads off!
