Thanks David. We can't claim credit for the raised beds which were here when we moved in. They were, however filled with a hotch-potch of plants including ancient hyacinths, reverting to their natural state, straggly begonias, weeds and I can't remember what else - except that there were a couple of nice camellia plants which I relocated to the front garden. I've still got my L-Plates on as far as veg growing is concerned but am enjoying the learning.

Wow, Claire, they were already there? They, alone, would have "sold it" for me!!! Have always been far more interested in a property's garden space and features than the house interiors, when looking for a new home, lol!!!!
You can bin the "L Plates", so far as I can see, with regard to growing beautiful bean plants!! :-))

Thanks David. The successful bean plants were 'leftovers' from my sister's garden (she had been given more than she could use). My own dwarf beans, grown from seed, hardly did anything and I'm not sure why. Hey Ho!
