The sun reached across the house and caught the junior cane begonia and a bit of my dried up violet and schlmbergera flowers that have retained their color. I have left the azalea tag on the pot, this is one of my begonia's (good price for that azalea though). lol.

Thanks Lori. This one tried a stint in a great window at work, but everyone's stress really effected it, just started losing leaves. It's coming back being home. I love these too, though I haven't got a bloom yet. I think this young one is more likely than the big parnet.

I had mine about a year before it bloomed...waaaay back when. It grew to about three feet before blooming...at that point I didn't know much about it because I'd never seen the parent plant bloom.. (belonged to a relative) .but one day in March...lo and behold! pink crystaline droplets! gorgeous things... just wait, Gt. you have a treat coming!

This one is 2yrs and the parent is 5yrs, both in the house still bloomless. One day I'm still hoping. I'm not sure what gets them going. The parent is 4-5 foot tall, and its been taller, have to cut these back pretty often.

Yes..they grow like bamboo! I used my homemade fertilizer...a large juice jug (sealable) half full of water and fresh eggshells (don't rinse shells...it's the little bit of albumin that adds to the efficiency of the fertilizer.) added each day... when jug is full of shells, top up with water... seal...leave about 3 days...shake well...get out your nose plugs...drain water into a watering vessel...dilute 50/50 with water..and feed to all blooming plants... (high in phosphorus and potassium)

I"ll remember. :-) Smelly, Very. :-)

best thing about it is that the smell completely disappears when it comes in contact with moist soil!...or maybe I just got used to the smell! lol...

I'm sure the plant and soil just eat it right up. :-)
