Brilliant plaque ! We have family benches all over the place, one in Eastbourne for my Nan, One in Three Oaks for my Uncle and One in Bromley for my lovely Dad !
We often say to our kids that one day we will all be a wooden bench !! Lol

I can't find any info on Fiona Neate either, Hilda. I love reading about the plant collectors, botanists, etc, of the past (recent or older), and so would like to find out a bit more. Interesting, too, that the book was published in the Netherlands, from your viewpoint.
