Drimys lanceolata

Understated shrub for a semi-shaded spot. Evergreen leaves, red stems, pale yellow flowers in early spring and trouble free.
We used this at Chelsea Flower Show in 2001 and no-one knew what it was because you never saw it fof sale. now it's in every other Garden Centre. We like to think we started the demand for it
