Unidentified Woodland Blossom Help!

This blossom was growing everywhere, it is very pretty with white flowers whish have a very distinctive perfume, it reminds me of washing powder! hopefully one of you will be able to identify it for me.

You were right Bonkers, found it in my book its Cherry Laurel [laurocerasus]

Hi Pp thanks - I was thinking more along the lines of Prunus avium - wild cherry as Cherry laurel has those thick shiny leaves similar to traditional laurel.( Laurus nobilus ) .
